This compilation of images demonstrate a pocket of vibrant moments captured throughout the Culmer/Overtown neighborhood.  Every neighborhood has a specific energy, and each energy is beautiful in its own right. Having had the opportunity to teach at Culmer/Overtown through the ‘Project Art’ program, I walked the neighborhood before and after my classes. This served to better understand my place in the environment, and to better communicate with those I taught. During the walks, the focus was on places, people, and chickens. A conversation entailed at each intersection. The collected information (photos and conversations) was transferred to the classroom where along with my students, we discussed the importance of knowing and caring for your neighborhood.
