Family is not defined by blood, family is grown. It takes an abundance of love and mutual respect from certain individuals towards one another to formulate a family.
This family began growing in 2014. Integrating himself into this lovely community, Little River, the artist immediately felt a strong connection amongst these individuals and thus giving birth to the documentation of their lives. Since then, the members of this community have endured hardships and enjoyed peaceful moments together, all of which has made their bond stronger. Some have left the community in search of personal goals and new members have been welcomed.
2016 brought forth the toughest obstacle. Facing gentrification, harassment and eviction, this community has held together and moved forward. Now, they all reside in a single house and have begun a new chapter in their lives.
